About Us
Journeys Unexpected...
I don't know about you but life is a so much harder than I expected it to be. Some journeys I chose, and other journeys chose me. Some journeys were filled with excitement, joy and love; other journeys have been filled with depression, frustration and heart break.
My hope is through this blog to share what we are learning and experiencing with our upcoming YWAM journey with our friends and family. This is a new, exciting chapter but one that honestly is equally heavy as it's a brand new one without Hannah. Our Story
My husband and I met while I was attending college (he had moved here for his first job at Burns & McDonnell) and married in 1997. We built a home and community in Louisburg, KS while raising 4 beautiful children; Hannah, Weston, Aiden & Karissa. Hannah passed away in a 15 passenger van accident in 2018 at 14 years old.
We've had some difficult journeys but have experienced God's amazing Goodness and steadfast love every step of the way. We currently live in Louisburg, KS homeschooling and are excitedly anticipating God's journey ahead for our family.
Meet our Family
Brian
Grew up in Wyoming and Colorado with a passion for God, water, and family. Spent 25 years consulting to the petroleum and petrochemical industries before redirecting my attention to serving the Lord and investing in our family.
Jenn
Wife & Mom; devout follower of the LORD, loves family, card games, deep questions, planning, and a life long learner.
Hannah
Resting with Jesus since 2018 at 14 years old. She was an avid reader, loved bible quizzing, playing flute and spending time with her friends. She finished reading the Bible days before she passed away inspiring the #hannahsbestyeareverchallenge .
Weston
16 years old; loves God, wants to be a missionary, loves a good debate and enjoys reading
Aiden
12 years old; bible quizzer, avid sports player, loves shooting and collecting anything.
Karissa
11 years old; Loves gymnastics. Loves God. Loves singing.
